Forever Bury Update 03/08/2019
Forever Bury have been working incredibly hard to try and resolve the current problems facing our beloved club and to date it has cost nearly £26,000.00 in legal and consultancy fees. Things certainly look bleak but we will battle on.
With next Saturday’s game at Accrington Stanley already called off our friends up the valleys have very generously pitched in to help with both sets of fans taking each other on in a match at the Wham Stadium next Saturday followed by live music and a BBQ. All the proceeds will help the Forever Bury Fighting Fund.
Having had nothing to cheer since May let’s all get up there and stand shoulder to shoulder with our Accrington friends and show the fun side of football.
Detailed information below:
Accrington Stanley “stand with Bury”
We have always had a unique relationship with our friends at Gigg Lane.
When Stanley had their financial troubles during the SOS campaign Gigg Lane was the first ground to allow a collection.
Previously to that Eric Whalley played a benefit game as a non League club for our friends at Bury.
The EFL decision to postpone our opening home game is a real low for modern Football.
With this in mind, Stanley Supporters will play Bury supporters next Saturday in Accrington (venue tbc). Supporters from both sides are invited to show solidarity.
After the game, Stanley will open the Clayton End fan zone. Here there will be live music, BBQ and the bars will be open.
Both sets of supporters are invited and we hope many travel and “stand together”.
All monies raised will be donated to a Bury Fighting Fund to use help their survival campaign.
Match Kick off 1230 Clayton End open 3pm
We will confirm final details and match venue in the next few days.
